HELLO THERE! I’m Jess, a natural light on-location newborn, family and child photographer. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I am now raising my two little loves and our puppy here in Northern, New Jersey. My passion for photography began when my daughter was born, a whole 11+ years ago. Capturing her and her little brother’s big and tiny moments throughout early childhood inspired me. The urge to freeze time and remember all the details of them at that young age, just how they naturally were, was my motivation.
My interest in photography however was sparked in high school, when I first learned to use a “big” camera. Coming from an artistic family, I had finally found my creative side through photography. However, my love for helping others is what brought me to my first career. I went on to graduate with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. My passion for art and my love of children was then perfectly combined through photography. My 18 plus years as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist working with infants and children brings an added value to being a newborn/family photographer. Having worked in the NICU enhances my skills by thoroughly understanding newborn/child development as well as their sensory needs, and most of all maintaining utmost safety for a successful child/baby centered session.
Photography lets me create a feeling and brings out emotions in the mundane. It lets me connect with my subjects and display my images to the world through my lens. Every photo has a story to tell….let me help you tell yours.
